Do I need to have my own instrument?
It is highly recommended that you do have your own instrument to practice on between lessons. If you don't have an instrument to practice on it will make it hard for you to learn the material and make the following lessons redundant and boring. Taking a lesson or two before buying an instrument in order to decide whether or not you want to play an instrument is not practical. Only time and practice will tell you if you like to play your instrument.
How often do students take lessons?
Consistence is a key factor in the learning process, so we recommend that you stay consistent and take one lesson per week at the same time and day. However, we do give you the flexibility of learning at your own pace, so it is up to you how many lessons you would like to take each month. Most students take 4 lessons per month, but some take only 2 and others take 8 lessons per month. You always have the option to change the frequency of your lessons as you go along.
How much do lessons cost?
Lesson prices vary depending on how long each lesson is and how many people are participating in a lesson. Most students choose to have a private one-on-one lesson, but some students want to learn as a group.
Elite Music Instruction never has any enrollment fees, travel fees, or any contracts. We have no products to sell because we feel that it is important to focus on education alone and not trying to sell you an instrument and/or accessories. If you need help pick out a new instrument one of our trained lesson coordinators will be happy to help you find a store near you or a website that will have the right instrument for you at the right price.
What is a good age to get started with music lessons?
If you or someone you know has an interest in learning music we will nurture that interest. Your age doesn't matter.
Consider this, no one knows for sure, but Mozart was probably about two or three years old when he first started taking music lessons. What we do know for sure is that at the young age of five, Mozart not only learned to played music but started composing his own musical scores.
If you have the time to practice, you can learn to play an instrument or sing. Learning to play an instrument or sing is like learning most anything. You'll need time and dedication. If you don't have time and dedication then you will need the world's best music teacher. Certainly, you have come to the right place for that.
Can I change the day, time, or duration of my lesson?
